I don't know for sure. We have a Hiram Frederick Christy, married to a Cherokee, Malissa/Margarett(?) Prince, born around 1855-60, I guess, around NC, Georgia, maybe. He had 2 sons, William and Samuel, with Malissa, but she died and he remarried. Samuel was born about 1875, Arkansas/MO/Tenn area. Does this fit with any of your info?

Don't know if there's a connection. I have some Montgomery family living in Howard County Missouri in the mid-late 1800's and Christy family in eastern Arkansas at the same time. The Christy family came from the East Coast in the 1840's.If this fits, let me know.

Mary, you mentioned Permilia/Priscilla Christy and I have such a name in my family history. I am not sure where I put the book with that information in it, will try to find it and get back with you.
James Christy was born in 1850 near McKeesport, PA. He married Julie Ann Kennedy in 1871. He died October 17, 1919 and lived the 30 years prior to that in West Tarentum, Allegheny County, PA. Two sons, John and William and two daughters Anna and Emma. William, my grandfather, was born in Irwin, Westmoreland Co in 1877. Any information would be helpful. Ethel
