I just want to say a huge "Thank you" to Ruth Helvy for transcribing Ruth
Turner-Ziegel's book to her web site. I have been visiting this web site
regularly as a result of her emailing a reply to a query I posted to this
list last year. So far, I have printed out the first 10 chapters. I am
very happy and grateful to hear that all 16 chapters are now online. Thank
you so much, Ruth Helvy!

Hello,
For some time now, I've been trying to put on-line the research
of Ruth Turner-Ziegel (not me or any relation). She researched the
descendants of Julius Christy and Agatha Barnett for many years and left
a wonderful book on the Christy's. I recently obtained more typing
help from my sister and the book is complete and on-line now. All
SIXTEEN Chapters. If you are related, and would like to see if your
family is in this, come take a look.
All the genealogy, plus updates sent by fellow researchers, is
in my on-line database, that is easily searchable, at World Connect. I
have other genealogy pages on my site, but World Connect is so easy to
update, turn into pedigree and descendancy charts at will, that I'm
using it more and the Gedpage (under Surnames more and my own less) It
takes me 10 minutes to update WorldConnect and several days to upload my
information in the Gedpage format. Anyway, if you want to take a look
you may. The address is below my name is for the homepage. Choose the
Christy Page button, and you are right there.
I hope someone can find it useful. It was a wonderful find for
me..

Good Morning
I found this site that contains a small list of Germans in Baltimore in 1767
who petitioned the court. Perhaps someone will get lucky and find some
Hesssians

The home page is: <A HREF="http://www.rootsweb.com/~mdcbalti/">Balto. City

They have added a long listing of Luthern Church records with many German
names

Re Samuel & Martha
You might check to see if Chandler had a newspaper at that time in case
there was an obituary.
My Handy book says the Bureau of Vital Statistics in Little Rock has
Arkansas death records from 1914.

Jo Ann: Re Ebenezer Christy
I searched through notes I've made in the past and found the following query:
Ohio, Gateway to the West, 1970 (I think this is a magazine. If so, I
didn't write down the month of the issue.)
pg 94, query parents of Ebenezer Christy, probably born VA 1784, d
9-23-1837. Buried north of Washington Court House, Cromer Cem. Married
Rachel Dawson 9-17-1818 ...
This is probably not my line.
