Hi List,
I'm searching for information on Thomas Christy who was born somewhere in PA
1780-1790. He had migrated over to Missouri by 1822 when his son James was
born.
Thomas then shows up in Claiborne Parish, LA in the 1830 census. He named
his sons:
JAMES
THOMAS
PRESTON
JOHN
WILLIAM
One of two daughters was named "Nici" Christy. James, Preston and John
stayed in LA and branched out as far as the central portion. William and
Thomas I haven't found after 1856 deed records. It's possible they could
have gone back up into Arkansas.
John Christy married Harriett BARTLETT in 1850, Claiborne Parish, LA. Their
children were:
James
William
Thomas Preston
Reeves
H. Ellen
And another son and daughter whose names I don't have yet.
Does any of this sound familiar to anyone? Maybe your missing a Thomas
Christy descendant data from one of your PA Christy's?
Thanks for any info.
