Hello Mary,
Not sure if this will help either of us, but here goes.
The story goes that my Great Grandfather, name:
(Unknown) Christopherson or Kristofferson, came to the US from Norway via
a Whaler destined for Antarctica. He jumped ship in South America, then
to Florida where he met up with his brother (name unknown), then up to
WI where her met with his cousins. (Word has it also that he had 3 brothers,
but I don't know their names either). He continued north to Outlook district
and settled there. 1903. His wife and six kids (one of which is my Grandfather,
Lawrence (Lorenz) Christopherson (Kristofferson). The whole family lived
in Outlook. Two brothers, and four sisters.
Lawrence, Kristian, Marie, Anges, Andrea, and Connie.
One of Connie's sons, Sidney Longhurst Jr. was popular during WWII for
his piloting efforts.
I am wondering if your folks in WI were the cousins I am refering to. Or
even perhaps one of the brothers?
Does this story sound familiar to you?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Jeff
