Well, which ever way it was said.......just wanted you to know I had seen it somewhere before.
This does not mean, that it was NOT yours that I read.
My grandfather came from Norway and went to N.Dakota, I am not sure if he went MN first or 2nd or at all. But he then came to Cresco, Iowa and farmed and after that moved to and bought a farm 7 1/2mi. SE of Luana, Iowa and 7 1/2mi.SW of Monona, Iowa........and almost straight west of Farmersburg, Iowa

Dear Yvonne, The migration is from Grant Co, MN. to Des Lacs Valley, Ward Co. North Dakota. Im pretty sure that the OLAUS CHRISTOPHERSON listed in the 1880 US census is the father of LOUIS. In the 1880 and 1900 census his name is spelled differently Lewis-1880, LOUIS-1900. If you compare the names and dates of the family members they all correlate together. OLAUS immigrated in 1870 according to the census. I haven't a clue if he had any brothers or sisters. I have searched every name listed and searched message boards with any clues and there is NO info on ANY of these Norwegians.Someone somewhere knows but i can't pay 50.00 for this or 19.95 for access to all of the "other " records.
