It's been a while since I've actively worked my family history research so I'm gonna just start over on here by saying I'm researching a wide array of Christopher's and their connecting surnames.
The majority of my research is here: http://www.griottree.com
If anything looks familiar, please email me as the guestbook is no longer working.

Here is a note in my files concerning George Washington Christopher:
"George Christopher was a full blood Indian. He carried mail on horse back from Sercie, Arkansas to Little Rock, Arkansas. He braided his hair and put a leather band around his head. He made indian pottery and sold it by the road side. Later years in 1915, they moved close to Easter and Tom Johnson, their daughter, in covered wagons and farmed several years." Hello -
I have a Francis Christopher, b. 1837 in Lumpkin County, Ga. in my family tree. This Francis was the son of Ambrose, one of my great - grand uncles. Maybe your Francis, b. 1855, was the son of the first Francis. Frances was also the name of Ambrose's mother. Good luck!
