Thank you for your response. Our Christopher Family was from County Waterford Ireland. I have traced them back to 1781 thru to today.

To Laurie Caron and other CHRISTOPHER researchers:
When I found Patrick Christopher and Mary Fitzgerald in the 1842 census, there were more children in the household than I expected. Turns out Patrick Christopher had a previous marriage to Catherine LANDRIGAN and they had two children before her death.
Still researching this family. I have a photo of the children of Thomas Christopher and Catherine Sullivan, taken in the 1930's at the farm house. See other information at www.bytown.net/patchris.htm .

Don't know if you ended finding anything on William Christopher from Barrow- in Furness England but my gggrandfather also came to Canada from England I am unable to find out where in England I believe he and his wife Jane Grant from Ireland where probably married overthere however my ggrandfather John George Christopher is listed as born in Kittley Canada in 1846. Don't know if this is a relative or not.

My great grandfather was George John or John George Christopher his father was George Christopher married to Jane Grant and that is all I know about them. A Census lists ggrandpa as having been born at Kitley Ontario in 1846 and his parents father born in England and Mother in Ireland but nothing else about his parents. Can not find a burial of these ancestors or other family members. My ggrandmother was born Esther Bingham and can trace her line thanks to other Bingham family members but no Christopher history

A distant family member has a story about Seaborn saying that he was a stowaway on a ship from Ireland when he was about 16 years old. He was made to work on the ship in payment for his passage. Then through his travels he ended up in GA. I have been confused about this Seaborn and the one born in GA. The story came from a Christopher family member before he passed away. I have the story. I was also confused about Ruben K. The only one that I could find couldn't have been his father because he was born after Seaborn. I see that you have him as born in 1777. That would make more sense. Email me and I will get the story to you. Johnsonma215(a)aol.com.

Sue, I am a little confused as to the birth of Seaborn which you report to be as 1795 in Ireland. In my research of the Christophers, it appears that your great grandmother Fannie Clifford, born 1887, was the daughter of John Seaborn Christopher, born June 1860. I have John's father, Seaborn C. Chrsitopher's birth at circa 1803 in Green Co., GA. Using this data, that would make your Irish born Seaborn only about 8 at the birth of Seaborn C. I would love to know the source of your infromation on Seaborn. Other sources state that Seaborn C. Christophers, father was a Ruben K. Christopher, born circa 1777.

I try very hard to verify all my info - please do your own verifying. There are so many Christophers and I have had a lot of trouble figuring some of them out! The Athens, AL Archives could possibly be of some help to track some of them down. I will add new info to my tree as I get it. I love the sharing part of Ancestry and enjoy checking daily to see what info has been helpful to others!!!
