I found all of those, but none of them seem to be him. I believe that Thomas (b. 1800) and Elizabeth (b. 1806) are John's parents, and the Elizabeth, William, and Thomas are JW's siblings. I just need to find who exactly this orginal Thomas (b. 1800) is. I believe he is the key.

I am stuck in a confusing spot in my family history I'm hoping someone can help me with. My 2nd great grandfather John Washington Christopher was born about 1862 in Oktibbeha Co., Mississippi. It has been said that he was an orphan, and I was told John Washington Christopher Sr. was his father but I am beginning to doubt it as I can find no proof.
JW Christopher (b. 1862) can be found in the 1870 census in Yalobusha County, as an 8 year old, but the page is cut off so I don't know who he's living with. In the 1880 census, he is living with John R. Christopher (b. abt. 1853), the head of household, and JW is listed as "cousin," as is JW's brother Thomas (b. abt 1859), in Clay County, Mississippi.
I believe this John R. Christopher to be the son of William P. Christopher (b. abt 1827, married to Harriet), according to the 1860 Oktibbeha census. Do you know where my JW fits into the family? Any help you can provide would be great.

Have you tried the Coweta Co Genealogical Society's Library in Grantville? I would suspect there might be a bunch of information there, since Mrs. Christopher was one of the founding members.
There is a link on the main site for the library and its hours.

They are a wonderful little group. They also house some records / info for old Campbell Co., Georgia which was disolved in 1932 and became part of Fulton Co., Georgia
Good Luck,
