We may have a connection. Peter, Ephraim and Sarah Christopher were in Orange Co., N. C. There were 2 more sons, possibly William, Andrew, Isaac.

Cousins who have met online believe Peter, Ephraim and Sarah Christopher were siblings and children of Thomas H. Chistopher. We also feel there are other siblings, probably Isaac, Andrew and possibly William, Daniel or David. Are there other cousins out there with info. This family seems to have been in Maryland and then ended up in North Carolina. We have found them in Catawba and later Haywood Co., N.C.
Any help appreciated.

Looking for help. Samuel (2) Christopher (obituary states b. 17 Mar 1831 in Millersburg but could be in range of 1827-1834) lists parents on second marriage license as Samuel (1) Christopher and Catherine Tracy. Samuel (2) moved to Indiana, then Nebraska (where I am located). I visited the Holmes County Courthouse, but only managed to check births, deaths and marriages in the two hours I was there. Unfortunately, birth records only go back to around 1860. I did find a Sam Christopher in death records, d. 7 Jan 1877 in Hardy Twp, aged 78 years but could not find any will info. This would make him the right age for Samuel (1). I also found a Samuel who married Nancy Hamilton on 5 Sept 1844, which could possibly be Samuel (1)'s second wife. Are there any other resources available in Holmes County that could help me learn more about my Samuel (2) and his parents? It may be possible that they came from Fayette County, Pennsylvania with other family members. Samuel (2) lists his f!
athers pob as PA in the census. Any help or insight is appreciated. I am also posting this on the Holmes County, Ohio Board.

Mike,
I don't have a lot more than you do, but am very willing to share. You can email me directly. I seem to have a lot about your gr.grandparents filled in, which I assume you had already done. I knew about Michael's parents, not sure I had the civil war info. I've been pretty deep into the Nalipinskis on the other side of my family right now, chuckle.
Anything I have, I'll gladly share. Most of it goes to Thomas, then Effie and then my mom's brothers and sisters.
Seems this makes us cousins of some kind? Are you in the WV area?
Jude

Michael Christopher was my great great grandfather also. His daughter, Sarah "Sallie" Christopher married Marquis Lafayette Shaffer, my great grand parents. I obtained a copy of Michael's civil war pension file from the National Archives last year. There is an affidavit in the file which list michael's parents as Lawrence Christopher and Bridget Hews or Hues. Michael enlisted in the H Company 4th WV Infantry as a private and by the end of the war he had been promoted to a Lieutenant.
Would like to share any other info that you may have.

Looking for descendants of my gt.gt.grandfather George Washington Christopher. He died aged about 90 in Sailors Snug Harbor home, NYC in 1914. He had been a pilot in New York. His sister was married to an `Abram Demarest`, and was still alive and living in `Linoleumville` S.I. at his death. Also notified of his death was Stephen Christopher 261,Main Ave, West New Brighton S.I. and John W. Christopher c/o Metropolitan Life Building. Also listed is a Mrs Benjamin Christopher, who I presume is his brothers wife, her address is:Charles Ave. Port Richmond, New York. We are in the UK, as Georges son came to England and started a family here. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks, Kathy
