Frances, thanks for your reply.I am totally confused. This I know. Thomas H. Christopher b.1762 in Baltimore Maryland and died in Catawba Co. NC Dec 25, 1832. I had thought that the Thomas H. Christopher listed in census in Rowan Co. Might be he. I have learned that Catawba was once a part of Rowan Co. Are you sure that your Thomas was born in Rowan Co. NC? Or perhaps there were just two thomas H. Christophers. Was your husbands Thomas married to Sarah Ann Trevistet. The Ephraim christopher I am descended from was b.1814 and married Mary Sellars in 1836. If you can tell me who his father was I would appreciate it. Ann

Frances Thank for reply. I had thought that the Thomas Christopher in Rowan co. might be my for bear. Since then I have found out from SAR documents that my forbear Thomas H. christopher was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1762 and died dec. 25, 1832. He married Sarah Ann Trevistet in 1784. Their daughter Sarah Christopher b.6-1-1794 married John Sellars b.1789 in 1810. Their daughter Mary Sellars b.3-31-1818 married Ephraim Christopher in 1836 in Haywood Co., NC their daughter Mariah married James Martin Henderson(my Great Great Grandfather) in 1859. So it seems that there are two Christopher families in my line. I wonder if the two Thomas Christophers are related? I believe that Catawba Co was once part of Rowan. So Ephraim Christopher is my Great Great Great Grandfather. I don't think they had other childre or perhaps thy Died. Do you knowYou may E-mail me directly at above referenced E-mail

Ann,
Is the Thomas Christopher you are related to, the Father or Grandfather of Ephraim Christopher?
I do not have the names of all Thomas Christopher's children but I can share what information I do have about his siblings and travels.
The Thomas who is my husbands relative is born abt 1758 Rowan County NC.

My husband is related to Thomas b abt 1758 Rowan County NC.
His family is related this way:
William Christopher
son of:
Lawrence Christopher 1935 MO
William Christopher 1900 MO
William H Christopher 1856 MO
James Christopher 1832 MO
William D Christopher 1787 NC
Thomas and his son William D and possibly his brothers widow? packed up their families and settled Big River Missouri.
All can be found in the MO census.
It is my understanding Thomas and (some of) his children are the only Christophers that headed north.
I would be glad to share other information with you and don't think I have ruled out a relationship with Thomas and Jonathan.
