I am researching the Christopher family in Harford Co. They owned property near Philadelphia Road, Route 7. The property may have been taken due to tax evasion, but so far this is just family lore. I'm interested in finding the property, if it is still standing, and in finding out more about the Christopher family. There is very little at the Harford Co. Historical Society. I have found the family in the Census, including my GGGgrandmother, Laura. If you are connected to the Christopher family in MD, specifically in Harford and Baltimore Cos., please contact me. We may be able to help each other.

Hello Lorie,
Ollie Pearl was my ggrandma, she lived in Arizona and I only had a chance to see her maybe a dozen times.
I would love to know info on Ollie's family. I never heard much about her side of the family, my grandfather (Marshall) Ollie's son, passed almost 2yrs. ago and I have been trying to research the line. If you have anything you could share, that would be great.
If you have any questions for me, let me know!!

Hi
I've just joined this list because I'm trying to find the ancestry of (former Secretary of State) Warren CHRISTOPHER. He bears an uncanny resemblance to my late grandfather Percival Walter CHRISTOPHER - and even to my brother Kevin. Funny thing is, Percy and his father were born in Cape Town, South Africa, and before that the line comes from the area around Weymouth, Dorset, UK.
Anyone help out?
Best wishes

I am looking for information about my husband's grandfather, George Washington Christopher, born approx 1856. He was a merchant seaman who married an English girl, Mary Ann Parsons, and settled in London, England. I have found records of his father and mother for 1850. Father, George Washington Christopher, born in New York 1823. He was a pilot in the Port of New York. Mother was Mary from Ireland. There was a daughter, Caroline, born in about 1847.
The line goes right back to the original immigrant from Holland, Johannes Christopher, born 1622. BUT I can't find any references to this family after 1850 except that the father was resident at the Sailors Snug Harbour from 1898 to 1914.
If anyone has any information I'd be very grateful and I'd be happy to share my tree.

I was not the author of the book. The book is called Encyclopedia of Colorado. A very limited number of the books were printed. The information I gathered was found in a copy of the book that is in the library in Canon City, CO. There are a great many little bio's in the book detailing most of the old time ranchers in the Canon City area.
