I believe that James Christopher, above, married abt 1853 to Margarette Leadbetter, b Dec 1834.
1860 Williamson Co, TN, James, age 37, and Margaret, 26, are found with 5 children in their household. I cannot account for the 10-year difference in James's age. But I believe this to be the same person, based on naming conventions. Also, based on age in other Census.
1870 Wilson Co, TN, Gladsville, James, 46, is a farmer on his own farm, with Margaret, with same 5 children, plus 5 additional children.
1880 Lamar Co, TN, James, age ?, is a farmer, with Margaret and 8 children.
A J.M.Christopher bought land and sold it in Lamar Co, TX, in 1885.
By 1900 James is deceased. Margaret is found in the household in Brazoria Co, TX, with her youngest daughter Dora Christopher Rogers and her family. She died in 1922 and is buried in Lamar Co TX.
I’d like to communicate with persons who are descended from this Christopher family.

I have found a small graveyard on private property west of Monett, MO. The following graves were there, so I thought I'd share this information with you.
Wm. Christopher
Co. K.
2 MO. L. A.
(This is a Civil War stone, Union side)
Jesse Christopher
Born July 15, 1802 These two had identical stones
Died Nov. 27, 1888 Obelisk type stone-spouses?
Susan Christopher
Born May 14, 1813
Died Dec. 7. 1888
There were 5 or 6 flagstone markers there, also, and one had the initials R.W.C. etched on it, leading me to believe that it, too, was a Christopher
I called the contact from the Barry County (MO) Genealogical Society, and he hadnn't heard of it.

I have not found a George christopher in my line; however, my ancestor James Christopher had two brothers, solomon and Daniel and there is a good chance he might be from one of those lines. I think Daniel was in PA, but I am not sure about Solomon. These families seem to be from Cumberland or Carmichael (Carmickle) Townships.
There are quite a few other Christophers from PA withsome of the same names but I don't think they are related. good luck.

AN ACCIDENT, THEN A WEDDING.
It wasn't a case of love at first sight for when Miss Helen
CHRISTOPHER of 1621 Washington street first saw
William McDONNELL, a fireman of truck company No. 1,
he was lying on the pavement at Eleventh and Wyandotte
streets, bruised and stunned, the victim of a street car
accident. At any rate, it was the beginning of a courtship
which is to culminate to-morrow morning when the two
are to be married.
The accident happened on June 3, almost one year ago.
McDONNELL was driving the assistant chief's buggy and
at Wyandotte street the two men were struck by a street
car and thrown to the pavement. Miss CHRISTOPHER
was a stenographer at that time for William AUSTIN, a
tailor at Eleventh and Wyandotte streets. She rushed out
when the accident occurred. The spectators say that she
helped the injured fireman to his feet, but disappeared
before he could thank her.
A month later, when he was able to leave the hospital,
McDONNELL started out to find witnesses to the accident,
at least that's what he told his friends. Naturally he went
to the scene of the accident and in the tailor shop, found
Miss CHRISTOPHER. Their courtship began at once.
Miss CHRISTOPHER is 19 years old.

I think I may have a line of your Wm. Christopher but I'm not positive. I have a George Christopher (possible son of your Wm) that married Mary Brooks. They had many children. The oldest being William (my step-great grandfather) b. 25 May 1897 in PA. This family was (is) from around the Fayette Co. / Greene Co. area. Being that this is a "step" branch, I have not done much research yet. I am getting ready to put some information together for a cousin from this line so any more information will be greatly appreciated. You may e-mail me directly at lterdan(a)comcast.net and I will be happy to share my info if there is a connection. Thank you

I've been trying to gather this information for my friend, Reeba (Sanders) Schrair. I don't know the details, but even though some of her family has the Christopher history, she doesn't. I would appreciate any that you have that I could give her. I'm trying to put it in a nice binder along with her Sanders history for her as a gift.
Thanks,
Renia
