Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Hi Herbert,
I believe I had said I wanted a workbook but I think I would prefer a CD
instead and I can print what I would need from it. Please send to Peggy
Watson, 734 SR 1668, Marion, KY 42064.
Thank you for all the work you have done with this project.

Several people have asked for cost of workbooks.
The workbooks are free of any financial charge; I do ask that you help
with editing your line. See below for portions of
August 30 letter to the Christmas List:
Your help is needed again. The web page can be
quickly updated for errors, but not the workbooks. If would be most helpful,
if you would check the web page, and let me know
of errors, anything you would like changed, or added. The workbooks are
ready, but I will wait until October 1, before mailing, to include your edits.
Those that have helped or will help in editing
the web page, I will be happy to send you a book on your line; please
send your postal address to my email account wht(a)whturner.com
If you would also send me the address of your
local genealogy society or state archive, and the
person to contact, I will send
them all of the workbooks. Each workbook contains
a Copyright, to prevent someone from posting it on the Internet or some
fee charging genealogy site.
Herbert
Thank you so much for all the tough work you have completed. I would like the workbook on the Thomas Cross Christmas of Virginia. If there is any cost, please let me know.
I descend from Thomas Cross Christmas by Agnes Christmas' marriage to James Whitlock in 1738 Louisa, VA.
Thank you,
Betty Gray

Hi Herbert,
Thank you for all you do. I would appreciate it if the list could continue
to exist, providing an alternative forum for those who, for whatever
reason, avoid actively participating on Facebook and other social media.
I am also very much interested in hearing more about and receiving the book.
Once again, thank you.
Very Respectfully,
Shannon

Hello,
I am interested in both the book and CD, please tell me how I can order both. My grandfather was Horace Jewell Christmas so I believe I need the Thomas Cross Christmas line.
Thank you for all your work! I know we all truly appreciate your time.
Sincerely,
Michelle
The Christmas web page was updated today; address is: christmas.whturner.com
The web page is in its 19th year, and I thank
each of you for your help over the years.
Several people (Gayle, Jeb, Becky, Dianne &
others) volunteered to help by editing sections
of the PDF books, and adding photos, obits, death
certificate; all of this is included in this web page update.
Your help is needed again. The web page can be
quickly updated for errors, but not the
workbooks. If would be most helpful, if you would
check the web page, and let me know of errors,
anything you would like changed, or added. The
workbooks are ready, but I will wait until
October 1, before mailing, to include your edits.
The workbooks are PDF, in descendant narrative
form so you can print your line or the entire book. The books are as follows:
Jonathan Christmas of South Carolina 2122 pages 143MB
Thomas Cross Christmas of Virginia 1282 pages 74MB
Thomas Christmas of Louisiana 122 pages
Henry Christmas of England - 161 pages
William Christmas of England 42 pages
Unconnected Christmas Families 124 pages
Those that have helped or will help in editing
the web page, I will be happy to send you a book
on your line; please send your postal address to
my email account <mailto:wht@whturner.com>wht(a)whturner.com
I will mail the books on a CD/DVD. I uploaded the
Thomas Cross Christmas book to my web site, but
Gayle said it took a very long time to download.
If you would also send me the address of your
local genealogy society or state archive, and the
person to contact, I will send them all of the
workbooks. Each workbook contains a Copyright, to
prevent someone from posting it on the Internet
or some fee charging genealogy site.
Finally, the Christmas mailing list is very
rarely being used. I'm getting tons of spam/junk
mail weekly. I try to clean it 2-3 times a week. Today, I got this message:
Subject: 175 CHRISTMAS moderator request(s) waiting
From: christmas-bounces(a)rootsweb.com
To: <mailto:christmas-admin@rootsweb.com>christmas-admin(a)rootsweb.com
If you would like to keep the Christmas List
going, I will keep deleting the junk mail, provided the usage increases.
Thanks for all of your help.
Best regards,
Herbert
