Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Donna,
Some viral attacks work by using your email contacts without your knowledge. The culprit will send out emails that you know nothing about. It may or may not affect the rest of your computer operations. I never open links on emails without knowledge of the address or a message from the person about the link. It could or could not be viral, but I am super-safe and try to avoid these things. There are several of these spam virus emails trying to get me to click on links everyday. I am sure the senders are not the "real" senders. I hope this helps.

Hi Paul,
It appears this email account has been hacked. It has been removed from the
Christmas List.
To Christmas List members: I do not know what these links are; some say it is
to a pharmacy in Canada. I would not open them, and just delete.

I got over 10 messages from you to the Christmas List, with nothing

All of (paulelinnelljr) emails were in my spam folder - what are the links
for, assuming they are safe to click, which I have not done, not wanting to
click on an undesirable link of course.
Thanks,
