Hi. My mother and I are both interested in this. We do have a suggestion about the location. How about Wisconsin Dells? Just a thought. Wisconsin doesn't get really hot in the summer and there's ample things to see/do in the Dells. I would highly recommend the duck rides. Back in WW2 there was a vehicle that went on land and water that the military used. Some company in the Dells bought and refurbished a bunch of them. The tour alternates between roadway and riverway. There's several hotel/conference centers in the Dells and it's less than an hour drive from Madison. Anyway, my mom and I both live in Wisconsin. My mom's 76 years old and getting her on a plane would be traumatic because she does not like flying. :) If you had the reunion where she and I could drive, I'm certain we would be there.
A bit about my family tree: My mother's maiden name is Christmas. Her father was Cecil. Her grandfather was William and emigrated from Canada. I tried looking for the correct William in Canada but the dates were wrong because the William I found was too young to have been my great grandfather. William settled into Superior, Wisconsin. My mom still lives in Superior but I now live in Milwaukee.
BTW, when I did a Reply All to this message, I see 2 email addresses and don't know which one is the correct one. If you get this twice, I apologize in advance! :)

Hi Tanya,
I would be interested in attending the Christmas Family Reunion (there
will be 2 of us). I think the suggestion that it be held in Warrenton,
NC is a good one. Warrenton is a beautiful Southern, ante-bellum town.
Yes, NC can be hot in July, but most places are. It was 102 in New
Jersey yesterday!
Thank you for coming up with this idea and be willing to organize it.

Christmas Family,
I think it is safe to say, based upon the positive responses, that we should
definitely have the reunion!
I like Donna's idea of having it on the weekend of July 22nd 2011 due to the
historical significance. As to the location, I have had some request the
Midwest and others say North Carolina. I would like to get more feedback on
where the location should be. I would like the location to be close to some
local attractions so that sightseeing and other activities can be planned.
I was also warned that the North Carolina area can be brutally hot in the
summer.
Please provide some suggested locations for further consideration.
Thanks.
Tanya
Thank you. Please keep me posted if you have the reunion. The earlier the
better so we can plan our vacation around that time.

Sounds like fun but we aren't able to travel much anymore.
Good Luck and I hope it's wonderful!

I think North Carolina would be a good location since most of the Doctoris
Christmas line came from Warren County, NC. However, I would be willing to
consider other locations. The reunion would be appoximately a year from
now.
Please let me know whether you would be interested in attending a Christmas

I won't attend as my Christmas line doesn't connect with Doctoris or any of the USA Christmas descendants. I hope you get a good response with your reunion.

Do you all who are doing the DNA testing, have some simple translation for
the results - I don't have a clue what this data means.
