Sorry Listers,
I thought that this was going to Darlene as a private message.
I quite expect the list owner to now ban me ! ! ! !
It contains such a contrversial subject.
Maybe I'd better un-subscribe.

Dear Darlene,
Do you know of instances where a CHRISTMAS has not used his real name.
My first wife accepted it immediately and when she died about 15 months
after our divorce, either she reqested or her relations buriid her as R---
Christmas, with the appropriate headstone.
The only time that I know of anyone 'baulking' at the idea of adopting
CHRISTMAS as their name was my 2nd wife who preferred to stay Ms Barber.
However, following our wedding when she went back to her school, teaching
her 10 year olds, they all greeted her in the classroom as 'good morning Mrs
Christmas, without any untoward comments.
Unfortunately, my line will die out now if I don't have a son. My wife is
70. So, if I can't buy an egg (preferably male) from someone (preferably a
woman who looks a bit like my wife) and find a surrogate woman, I have no
hope.
It would probably cost an exhorbitant amount anyway. Is it worth the effort
to continue a line that I have traced back to a Robert C in 1640 a clergyman
at Chobham, in Surrey, UK. The earliest documented evidence I have seen in
the British Library of a Christmas is the King's Herald drawing of a
CRESTEMASSE jousting with many knights somewhere in KENT in 1243.
Kind regards,
Ray Christmas, New Zealand

I don't believe David Christmas belongs to me but it seems that actors doi
run in Christmas blood! My husband's late uncle was Eric Christmas, the
actor. This was nis name, not a stage name.
Anna Thomas
Researching David Christmas, unsure of age (possibly born circa 1940's or
late 1930's) who's an actor. He appeared on/off Broadway in such plays as: Dames
at Sea (with, then unknown, Bernadette Peters), and Very Good Eddie (circa
1970's).
Would love to know more about his ancestry.
Thanks so much,
Cindy Sloan
researching: Christmas, Gay, Burke, Benefield, Davis. Keel,
Harrington/Herrington, and more; mostly around Jackson County, Florida.
