Hi Herbert
Thanks for the email.
The Christmas line I am tracing is from my Grandmother on my Mums side.
Rose May Christmas (b 1909 croydon)
Joshua Thomas Christmas (b 1874 Chelsea) married Annie Bray in 1899
Joshua George Christmas (b 1845 Kensington) married Harriet Wordley in 1872
Joshua George Christmas ( also listed as George Joshua b 1822 Sussex)
marred Sarah Sander in 1843
Samuel Christmas (b 1800 Sussex ) married Elizabeth Johnson (not 100% sure
on surname) . I think this is the correct parents for Joshua
Mail Mode for receiving the messages will be fine.

Mark
Please welcome Barrie to our Christmas List; below is some info on his
research.
Hi Herbert,
Thanks for your message.
My CHRISTMAS interests stem from my GG Grandfather William WOODS who
married Sarah CHRISTMAS in 1872, shortly before emigrating from Godalming,
England, to New Zealand in 1874. William and Sarah came to New Zealand with
Sarah's parents and siblings and there are now a number of direct and
not-so-direct descendants of this family living in New Zealand.
In the course of my research I have collected various details relating to
my CHRISTMAS ancestors, but as can be expected there are still some gaps.
I'm hopeful that the Christmas List might help fill some of those gaps, and
perhaps I have information that will likewise help others.
My preference for receiving postings to the list would be Mail Mode.
Best regards,
Barrie
To all who have been so kind regarding the condition of little Raymond
Timothy "Dakota" Baker. I have an update. The original information that he was
being transferred to Nashville, TN was incorrect. He was taken to an
Ashville, NC Hospital where his condition is improving; but there is still a
respiration problem. However, the prognosis at this time is good.
Ashley is still in the hospital in Murphy, NC but is expecting to be
released today so that she and Todd can travel to Ashville to be near the baby.
Your kindness and prayers are greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much. I will probably receive some updates during the day. I
know if I don't have any news by this evening, I will be on the phone. I
have been worried for my nephew's family as they are in Murphy, NC on their own
and far from immediate family. My brother, the first-time grandfather, is
scheduled for cataract surgery right away. Otherwise, I am sure he and my
sister-in-law would be enroute to be with the kids during this time; and since I
have not heard more, I am wondering if they did not decide to go ahead and
drive up there.
It is a comfort to know that the baby will be in good hands.

I really do not know the name of the hospital; and I don't think the kids
knew definitely when they called their parents yesterday soon after they learned
that the baby was being transferred. What we do know is that there was
concern about his lungs. I was rather concerned because the parents were in
Murphy, NC; going to Nashville under not the most pleasant of conditions and no
close family was there to comfort them. They said that the hospital in
Murphy was not equipped to handle situations like this and the baby was being sent
to Nashville because that was the best hospital. I hope to find out more
details during the day today.
You would think I was grandma rather than great-aunt. This is my brother's
and sister-in-law's first grandchild. I feel that this infant is a good
healthy size, and that is probably in his favor. He is actually bigger than
three of my children who, as far as we know, were full-term and very healthy.

I would like to announce the birth of my great nephew, Raymond Timothy
Dakota Baker, born 31 Dec 2005, weighing in at 6 lb 11 oz, Murphy, NC. His
lineage is as follow:
Raymond Timothy Dakota Baker > Raymond Todd Baker > Clyde Raymond Baker >
Clyde Baker > Julius Elmore Baker > William Elmore Baker > Martha Christmas
>
Absolom Christmas > John Christmas > Jonathan Christmas.
Although this infant is a nice size, he is premature and was being
transferred to Nashville, TN to the Neonatal Unit. Please keep our family
and our new
addition in your prayers.
