Hello List:
I hope this message will not lose its formatting on its way to you. Else it will be very hard to read. If that happens, I'll try again to get the information to you.
Several days ago, Herbert Turner, the list coordinator, replied to my question about Mary CHRISTMAS and William GREEN. He kindly pointed me towards a CHRISTMAS website and sent me data that filled in a lot of blanks for me and replaced some erroneous data I had about Mary CHRISTMAS's forebears. In his message to me, he said that he did not have information about E. H. METCALF, who married Mary CHRISTMAS's granddaughter, Mary Jones BONNER. Below are some data that I have about the CHRISTMAS - BONNER - METCALF connection. I've included the CHRISTMAS data that he told me about. The two lines are ranged vertically in chronological order. I didn't include any collaterals.
In case anyone is interested I have a picture of Mary Jones BONNER that I can share.
I have lots more METCALF data, some gathered by my late aunt Margaretta Metcalf Reynolds Neumann, and some from a hefty tome, "A Study of Metcalf's", by Clayton G. Metcalf. Some copies of this book may be available still. One can write to Mr. Metcalf at 408 North Rawls St., Enterprise, AL 36330. About a year ago, Mr.. Metcalf was ill, but his wife was able to sell me a copy of the book.
The folks at the very bottom of the list below are my parents.

Hi Herbert,
I dont know about Edith but thought someone else might.
It was interesting to me becasue it seems there must have been a 'wagon train' that left Pike Co., IN in 1882 and went to the Stoddard Co., MO area. My father left me 4 little notebooks with information he had gathered about his DeJarnett family. The date, 1882 is when he said they all left. His father had told him, "I well remember the morning they all left. We had had a big family gathering the evening before." Three of his uncles and 2 aunts (brother's and sisters) and their families along with some Loveless' and Willis' that I know of made the trip. I hadnt been aware that there might have been some Christmas' with them. All of these are my family.
I dont know if I am 'signed in' with our group of Christmas' or not? I have changed addresses too many times since I have been here in Gibson Co., IN. I do know I have not been getting mail for some time. When do you want me to send the CD back to you?
I have been so involved in researching my connection to Tecumseh lately. I have found a old bible with the information that says William Rainey , who is my 3rd Great-grandfather, married Skawto, "the daughter of Tecumseh of the Shawnee Nation." It has her birth and death record in it too. I am trying to get the "Aunt" who owns the Bible to send me a 'scanned' copy. She is in New Jersey.
Our Christmas family reunion will be the last sunday of this month here in Oakland City, IN. I dont often get to see Mary Jean and Donna Lou. Did you know that Donna has changed her name back to Christmas? (She was divorced several years ago)
-Hope all is well with you and your family?
Take care
Cousin Joyce

Joyce, the only Edith/Eddith Christmas I have is from the 1900 AR Census,
born Oct. 1892; daughter of James Yancey Christmas; that is all the info I
have, no husband, etc; however, appears to be right age to be mother of
Juanita Pointer Hall.
