"Just surfing found your site. My surname is Christmas and I am very much
interested in my fathers family. His name was Willis Christmas born in 1900
to William and Robie Christmas in Digby, Nova Scotia has 18 brothers and
sisters who migrated there in early adulthood to Europe, Boston and
California. All were originally from South or North Carolina. My Father hid
in a barrow of herring leaving for Boston, where he worked his way through
school and finish his law degree at Harvard University. Also I have two
cousin Greg and Gary Christmas (dancers) twins living in Amsterdam (owns
the Backstage Cafe) born to Mary Christmas and born on Christmas Day.
My son who is the public relations person for Wesley Snipes found out that
Wesley's Attorney's name is Ken Christmas? Anyway.....The eighteen Xmas's I
can remember is as follows......Willis, Leonard, Herbert (Smile) Gordon,
Edward, Inez, Carol, Mary, Russell, Robie, Gertrude(?) Regina."
Thank you Lisa. Everyone has made me feel very welcome!

Let's welcome Julie to our Christmas List and see if we can help her.. She
is trying to find if she has a Christmas connection, perhaps through her
Spradley line in GA. Below is some information from Julie on her line.
"I honestly don't know if I belong to the Christmas line or not. I am
hearing rumors that my SPRADLEY line married to the Christmas's in Macon
County GA. I have no proof, only speculation.
My questions come from a family member telling me that L.J. (or Lyttle
James) Spradley is buried in Agnes Christmas's lot. Don't know where, but
am guessing Felton Cemetary in Montezuma, Macon County. I don't know if
this Agnes has passed away, if it is just an empty lot, or anything else. I
have researched in books, as well as walking around the cemetery and have
not found either name listed.
A little bit of background on L.J.. he was born in Marshallville abt 1861
per census, and grew up around Miona Springs, and Old Lanier. Then moved to
Montezuma. I do not have a death date on him, but he married Mary Louisa
Richardson abt 1887 in Macon Cty. They had many children. One child being
L.J. Jr.. He was born 1898 and passed away 1971. He married Ethel Davis.
Now, Ethel is buried in Bertha Dozier in Montezuma, but I cannot find
anyone else."
