I am compiling a narrative of my Christman/Christmann Family of Oberhoffen-sur-Moder, Bas-Rhin, France. My Christman family (Martin Christman/Christmann (1816-1887), with his mother, wife and young son, also named Martin) arrived in the United States in 1841 and moved to Franklin County, then Dearborn County, Indiana. My earliest Christmann ancestor is Hanß Christmann (c1607-1698). Other members of the family immigrated not only to the United States, but also to other places in France and even to Algeria. Would be interested in making contact with other descendants and exchanging information.
