Hi Dan, Apologies for not replying sooner. So much happening with elderly relatives and grandchildren. Difficult, confusing and frustrating and haven't had time to do much for ourselves. I see that Tracie has also answered your post. We conferred back and forth with our information to make sure that what we both had was correct and she had done a lot of research, not just copied it from others, so you have probably learnt a lot from her tree. As you can see we go back as far as Daniel and the Battle of Trafalgar, which is amazing. I have some family stories that may be of interest to you and please ask anything you need to know. Names and dates you have probably got already from Tracie but ask away and anything I can help with, am pleased to do so. It's always lovely to meet another relative, especially when they are interested in family history. I lived in Townsville for a period of time and never knew that we had family there. Nobody ever mentioned it. Maybe y!
ou can help me out with some questions as well. My email is robal1753(a)gmail.com and that should make it easier to correspond. Looking forward to hearing from you, thanks Robyn

Christie had some prominent Jamaica connections. I am trying to find the name and parents of John Whyte's wife, Isabella. I suspect that she may have been James Christie's sister. John Whyte and his brother James were born in Jamaica in the 1780s, so if you will probably find a Christie connection there if you look. John and Isabella's son was named James Christie Whyte. I know that Christie looked at land in Canada, but did not like it. The Whytes, on the other hand, became prominent members of society in Hamilton, Ontario.
