Hi,
I have just come across your previous post. I believe Samuel Thomas Christie was also my great grandfather. Unfortunately I do not have any information about him. Would like to get in touch to find out more about him if possible. Thanks

Do you by any chance have a direct female line of your Sarah Janette Christie coming down to the present time, i.e., one living. Gail Christie (she has several posts on this thread over the years) and I are trying to find a direct female descendent of Sarah/Mrs. James Christie Sr. so we can test the MtDNA. This needs to be in a direct female line, no going through a male somewhere along the way. However, the current living descendent can be a male (with a direct line mother) since he inherits his mothers MtDNA (but can't pass it on). Please let me know at narnialucy(a)hotmail.com. Thanks.
