Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

am doing research into great grandfather samuel thomas christie born approx 186 supposedly came from isle of man. he always called himself a manx man and made the manx sin but conflicting info points to london as his birth place. married in sydney australia to catherine close daughter of thomas close and charlotte walton. Samuel lived and died cairns queensland australia 1940. Have lots info regarding life australia but his origins are a mystery. sometimes even his children are christie or christian. any help or ideas appreciated. thanks.

In July 2011 I was at Jedburgh Abbey in Jedburgh Scotland and took this picture. I hope it is meaningful to someone's family. The stone is in very poor condition
