Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

I did find an Ole Christianson in Dallas area that is not mine. He is in the barron county/ Dallas area archives on Rootsweb.com. All it says is that he had a shoe shop. This is around 1900 when the dam was constructed.
If I find anymore info, I will let you know.

This **looks like** Ole and Indiane in 1865 Norway living on a farm called Rudsæter in Buskerud fylke

I think you will find that they are using a version of their former farm name in 1880 US census.

Go to http://home.eunet.no/~jeri/maps.shtml and click on Buskerud on the left side. Then you'll see Nes. That's the area that is being recorded there.
I hope that helps a little but try to get more info in US to prove what I am saying since I am just making an educated guess.
