We may have a connection. My husbands family came from Norway. Hans Kristiansen (Christianson) born in 1870 in Oslo ( we think) and his wife Sigrid born 1870 in Trunholm or Trunheim. They immigrated to the United States in the early 1890's. They lived in Wisconsin for a time where Henry Oliver and his brother Rudolf were born. Henry born in 1897. They then moved to Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Hope to hear from you.
Stacey

I too am looking for information on a family from Wisconsin. Hans & Sigrid Christianson (Kristiansen) immigrated to the United States from Norway in the early 1890's and settled in Wisconsin from what I gathered. Henry Oliver (my husbands grandfather) was born in Brodhead, Wisconsin on Feb.2nd 1897. He was baptized in the Luther Valley Church of Rock County, R. 27, Beioit, Wisconsin. on June 6th 1897. one of his sponsers for his baptisim was a Mathilda Kristiansen whom I presume was his aunt as he had a sister named Hilda. If anyone has any information or connection with this family I would be happy to hear from them.
Thanks
Stacey

I am searching for a female Christensen (Christianson, Christiansen, Kristensen?) who married a Moe. My grandfather, Gustav Edwin Moe, is said to have been born a Christensen (sp?) in around 1890/1891, probably in Minnesota. I am told that his parents were born in Norway. When his parents died, he was adopted by an aunt named Moe, and he was called Gustav Edwin Moe as an adult. He eventually moved to Montana and lived in Glasgow (Valley County) and Missoula. He married Carrye Neal Herring in 1922.
