Many thanks for your information. I joined Norway Heritage and have made some progress with Nils family - esp his sisters and have found some living decendants in Norway but not much information is on ancestry. I need to make time to go to Norway but it isn't easy from Australia. I have made contact and met a distant Swedish relative who has information on ancestry. I am planning to go to Lund to meet her next year but unfortunately won't have time to go to Norway.
Thanking you once again
Robyn

Lots of people have been begging for this change for a long time. You and I talked several years ago about this. So it's a bit disingenuous to refer to all the Ancestry posts of the past. Instead please recognize that you can change your habit of posting on Ancestry surname boards at any time. Apply the time and effort taken to post on Ancestry surname boards and instead post elsewhere. That does not additional work for you or your team.
When you say "Maybe you could volunteer to do it for me," that's probably facetious, but in fact I would indeed honestly be willing to help transfer past Ancestry surname posts to another location. But again, a solution to what to do about past posts is a separate issue from what is happening now and in the future on Ancestry surname boards.
Another possibility is that board administrators or random volunteers like me or you and your team (or all the above) could transfer the surname board posts onto another Ancestry location, such as one of the Cemeteries & Tombstones forum.
Here's a forum specifically called "Cemetery Photos," which is what you offer.

In other words, I didn't suggest that your past posts on Ancestry.com surname message boards should all be added asap to Find-a-Grave. First correction to be made is take a look at what you are doing NOW. Second correction is: problem-solve with sympathetic and helpful others to see how the work you're doing be made accessible to others via a more appropriate location.
Recently a movement was underway via private messages on the Ancestry grapevine as to how to get you to change your ways and not post on the surname message boards. This discussion included people with various connections to Ancestry and who participate in various ways. You surely know this? None of these people resent your work - to the contrary, all greatly appreciate it, just as we all appreciate each and every contributor to genealogy websites. Thus you can deduce you have a ready made team to help implement any new plan. Why Ancestry does not insist on it, is beyond me - but their unwillingness to nudge you doesn't preclude you making a decision yourself in this matter.

Pamela,
I do not know enough to add a search function. Because I give away photos, there is no money to pat you to do it.
There is not enough time left in my life to place all my photos on that great site FindAGrave.
Maybe you could volunteer to do it for me.
