I have an old picture taken about 1907 of 3 children, two of the children are my grandmother (Eulia Hansen b:1900 in Iowa) and her brother (Christian Cornelius Hansen). The third child in the picture is a little girl about 4 years old, the back of the picture says "cousin Loris Christiansen".
Eulia and Chris' father is Ernest Alfred Hansen b:1858 in Denmark and their mother is Anna Christiansen b:1872 in Denmark. Ernest and Anna were married in 1896 in Marshalltown, Iowa, then settled in Fresno California about 1905. I know that Anna had a brother Christian J. Christiansen b:1875 in Denmark, Chris also lived in Marshalltown, Iowa, and Fresno/Merced California, and later Santa Cruz, California. I believe he was married to Leona Hansen (born Iowa), and had a son Elmer E. Christiansen b:1914 in Fresno, California. So, it seems likely that Anna had another brother who would be Loris' father. Your message mentioned a "Loris Christiansen",I am hoping that we may have a possible match because Loris is an unusual name. Did you ever try to have the notes translated? There is a free online translator called babelfish, that can translate text.
