Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Deanne M. Christiansen, M.D., age 66, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011, at UPMC Hamot. Deanne was born in Erie on August 20, 1945, the daughter of the late Edna Christiansen. She graduated from Fort LeBoeuf High School and attended Muhlenberg College, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She continued her education at Michigan State University, graduating with a Master's Degree in the Biological Sciences. After working as a Pulmonary Technologist for ten years in the Philadelphia area, she attended medical school at St. George's University in Grenada, followed by a Residency in Psychiatry at the University at Buffalo. Although Dr. Christiansen lived in many different places while pursuing her education, she spent much of her life in Summit Township and, recently, had enjoyed the time she spent as a resident of Sunrise Assisted Living. Dr. Christiansen was a Psychiatrist who devoted her life to helping others through her work. She had been associated with !
the Sarah Reed Children's Center, Hamot Medical Center, Abraxas, and the Achievement Center, along with several other organizations. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two aunts, Ingeborg and Winifred Christiansen, and two uncles, Elmer and Raymond Christiansen. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Mancini. Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502 on Saturday, October 8 from 12 noon until the time of a memorial service there at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Erie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sarah Reed Children's Center, 2445 West 34th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
