David and Crystal:
I am Fred's great granddaughter. I have tons of stuff on the Christiansens now. Barnard died in 1900. I am hoping to get the stuff together and send everyone a "rough" copy where they can add their information or anything they have to offer... i.e. more information and possibly pictures... before I bind it for all that want a copy. David, I know your dad, Uncle Bill wants a copy. If you would like one as well, just let me know. Last time I spoke to you, you were doing teacher certification... I hope you are doing well with that.
Soon hopefully, let's get together and compare notes.
Sincerely,
Renae James

I am not sure if we are related or not. I do know that Barnard's parents Borg and Caroline came from Schleswig. I know that Barnard was born in Wisconsin, and he had a sister named Augusta and one named Minnie, and then a brother named Freddie. They appeared in this order: Augusta, Barney, Minnie, and Freddie.
I would love to know what happened to Borg, Caroline, Freddie, Augusta, and Minnie. I know that Barney moved to Texas from Clinton, Iowa. I assume that his parents and brother and sisters died around that area, but again I can't be sure.

Thank you P Brun for your ideas on where to look next. I am currently looking for the ancestors of Carl Alexander Albert Christiansen (birth - 6 Sep 1862 in Frederikshavn, Hjorring, Denmark; death - 25 Jan 1943 in Frederikshavn, Hjorring, Denmark). I was told that he was a sailor, and he and my great grandmother (Sophie Charlotte Petersen) divorced prior to her coming to the United States when my grandmother was 58 years old. I would like to find Carl's parents and learn more about him as a person. Most of my research is focusing on my g-grandparents ancestors.
Thank you in for your suggestions.
Sincerely,
Jennifer
