My great grandfather, Hans Friedrick Christiansen, was born in Braderup, Tonder, Denmark, 11 Feb 1838. He married Hannah Sonnichsen, born 25 Jun 1842 in Uphusum, Tonder, Denmark. Both villages are now in Schleswig-Holstein.
They emigrated with several children around 1873 and settled in Sandusky, Erie County, Ohio. As Erie County is adjacent to Ottawa County, perhaps there is a connection. If interested, feel free to contact me directly via e-mail.

I have tried to reach Lisa with no success. Perhaps someone knows how to contact her.
I have information on Helena, and pictures. Helena was my great-grandfather's little sister. Helena was born in Comanche Twp., Barton Co., KS to Carl Heinrich Christiansen and Sophie ("Dormaback" sp?) Christiansen. She was the 8th of 9 children who lived, most to old age. The family called her "Lena." She married Lou Schrader, had children, and was written up in "Ellinwood Echoes" about 10 years ago.
Please contact me if anyone has Helena, or any of the Christiansen family, in their trees. Other children were:
Christiana (m. Mische)
Charles ("Charlie")
August
Henry
Edward
Josephine ("Josie") (m. Dr. E.H. Brown)
Anna (m. Everitt)
Antoinette ("Toni") (m. Jake Hager)
I have lots more info on this family, and pictures.
Deb
