Hi, I have hit a brick wall with Karl Johan. What I do know: he was born 1864,in Kristiania. He married Alvilde Kristine Christiansen, born 31 Jan !868,in Kristiania. Her family came from the farm Tru(o)sterud,I have some info on her family.
They had 4 children: Ruut Gunvor, born 1890.She is my g'ma.She moved to the US. Johan Kristian, born 1888; Erling Ferdinard, born 1892; and Rolf Henry, born 1895.He also came to the US.
On a shipping list,I found Ruth returning from a visit with her father. At that time in lived in Kul- 'm sorry I can't remember what the rest of the spelling is!I want to say it's Kullbrand.I have to look it up.
Any help finding Karl Johan and his family, and more about Alvilde would be greatly appreciated.
Best, Joan

You might mean my Uncle Kris (in later years he went by KP Christiansen)- born 12 June 1878 Skaevinge, Fredricksburg, Denmark- came to the US if I recall 1906- wife Anna Christine Hansen- he died 1 June 1926 following an appendectomy I understand- she died 30 Sep 1974 at Minden, Kearney, Nebraska. This couple is buried at the Fredricksburg Church cemetery just southeast of Minden- they were married in 1911 according to Leona, but I have not found their mg certificate. Uncle Kris was already here so they were not md in Denmark.Their children were Leona, Emma, Clarence and Harold. Emma lived at Kooskia and died in Boise Idaho. It was her daughter Barbara who went to the hospital in Boise when my husband was airlifted there after an accident up in the Selway country in north central Idaho back in the late 60's. She or her husband were there until I could get there the next day. My mother died in that accident.. I will never forget that kindness.
