Hi, I am also searching for Mannahan's. My Grandmother was Roxanna (Roxie) who married Luick David Overacker. She was born in Ill. in 1862. I believe her Father was Thomas and Mother Mary.Thomas immigrated in 1853 from Ireland. The 1880 census shows Thomas widowed with 3 children living with him==Thomas 23, Roxey 18 and Charles 16. He was 62 in 1853. Can anyone add to this? My e-mail is margiehansen@wildblue.net........Thank you

Attempting to locate any information on Effie L. Adams that will allow me to determine where she went following the 1900 census and whether or not she is the Effie Adams that married William Bates Christian during the period between 1901 and 1903. Following is the information from the 1900 census. This is the only information I can find concerning her so far.
1900-Elk, Washita, Oklahoma Territory
Effie L. Adams, age 14, born July 1885 in Kentucky
Others in the household include:
Lucy Adams, 53, born Nov 1846 in Tennessee, widowed (I believe her husband to have been J.B. Adams)
Hugh W., 32, single, born Dec 1867 in Tennessee (Lucy's son)
Lula A, 28, single, born April 1872 in Tennessee (daughter)
Herschell J., 17, single, born July 1882 in Tennessee (son)
I have been unable to find Effie in the 1910 census as either Effie Adams or Effie Christian. There is an Effie Christian, however, this is actually William's sister.
If anyone can shed any light on this young woman and where she went after 1900, please contat me.
Thank you

I do have an Edmund J. Christian in my family tree, and he is related to the Lilleys in my tree, though I'm still working on the exact relationship. I'm very much hoping to further trace my Lilley line as I'm stuck at Nancy Lilley, born around 1798. I don't have her parents names, though I believe they were from Virginia. I have a copy of a letter written by Nancy's grandson in which he listed relatives who served and died in the Civil War. One of these is Ed Christian and he specifically states they are related through the Lilleys. Another is Ambrose Scarborough, nephew of his grandmother, Nancy Lilley.
Feel free to email me if you think the information I have may help you in your search. And please do email me if you have any clues about the Lilleys.
Thanks!
