Looking for the family of Thomas E. Christian, In 1920 he lived with my relatives as a step-son. His mother was Elizabeth Christian who remarried, George Stover. They lived in Bolivar, PA. She stated that she was born in Iowa in a 1930 Census. Elizabeth died in 1932, she was born in 1883 /-.
Thomas E. Christian was a Pvt in the US Army. He served during WWI and was injured. He lived in the VA hospital in Ohio were he later died in 1966. He is listed in the National Cemetery in Dayton, OH. Any info on his family or who Elizabeth Christian Stover was previously married to would be appreciated.
Thank you,

Thankyou for your quick reply.
He was born in Denmark. Came to Australia in 1800s. Married Sarah Woodbridge, in the state of Victoria, Australia. They settled in the goldfields of NSW, and had a large family. He is/was my great grandfather, and not much information about him I know. He is listed as father on all the birth certificates/death certs of his children - that I have obtained. He was known as 'Jas Peter', James Peter, and also Peter James. Surname was Christian, however on 2 certificates (childrens) he has his name printed as 'Christians'. All I have is 1 photo that has been circulated around the family and internet, but not much else is known about him. Naturalised Australian short period before he deceased (approx. 1903). Some other family lines of descendants are pretty closed book on whatever they know - rather frustrating.
I thought, maybe he might have had family migrate from Denmark to other areas/countries from Denmark.

Great work if he is the right one - keep my fingers crossed for you.
I am in Australia and my James Christian, was also known as Peter James Christian, born Denmark. He was born approx. 1840. Is there any chance I wonder if leaving Denmark some of his family migrated to USA and settled there or did so before migrating to Australia. I wonder if there is any connections that you can help me find on this one.
Thanks in advance, Cheers.

It's certainly possible he's the right one. That would put him about the right age.

Sarah Senova Sisson had three children, Sidney Anderson Christian b. 1866, John Franklin Christian b. 1869 and Charles Edward Christian b. 1872. All the sons were born in Texas. Sarah was born 1848 in Alabama, but spent most of her life in Red River County, TX
I never find Sarah with Jim Christian in any documents. I find her with her three sons in the 1880 census, and she's married to Herman Eldred.
I never find direct evidence of Jim Christian anywhere. No census, nothing. His place of birth is given in various documents as Tennessee, Alabama and Texas.
Does anyone know anything about Jim Christian?

My 3xgrandfather Thomas Christian was born in Melton Mowbray in 1785. I believe he was the son of Thomas and Jane (Jackson) who married in Cottesmore in 1777.
If anyone has any info to share I'd love to hear from them.
Many thanks.
