Looking for help in the following research -
The 1920 census shows the Edward Rothert family living
in Shelby County. By 1930 they had moved to Christian County
and the two oldest children were no longer at home.
I suspect Ernest Rothert and Lois Rothert might have married
about 1930 in either Shelby or Christian County. Does anyone
have access to marriage records who could help me with this
search? Jeanette Rothert the youngest, if married, was probably
married in Christian County as she attended Pana High School
in 1932.
Thanks very much.
Jay K.

The surnames of CHRISTIAN and QUINN are included in my earliest known ancester Thomas Christian who married 1795 in Mercer Co.,Ky to Sarah Drane. No siblings are known of Thomas Christian at this time or where in VA. or W. Va. they originated. About 1800 they lived in the Washington Co. Ky next to Mercer Co.,Ky. in a town of Lebanon. Only one son known, John Christian married Cath.Wathen, had 5 children:Thomas Henry, William James,Samuel, John Quinn/Quince, dau. Sarah A.Christian. Could this family be connected to your McDowell Co. W.Va. Thomas Christian?

Looking for any info on the link between The Christian surname and the names Kroll, Strange, and/or Cotten.
Clarence Wesly Strange (1994-1948) and Cora Ellen Cotten (1885-1974) had a daughter who married into the Kroll family. I believe the Christian name is connected with this somehow, unfortunately, I do not have any other dates or names to go along with this. If anybody has any info or insight concerning this, I would love to hear from you.
Thanks!

I have been searching for information on John Christian, married to Mary Elizabeth for a long time and not had much luck. John Weasly Christian was a grandfather, born in Texas in 1848. I have good information on John W.'s son William Walter Christian on down to my mother Billie Earl Christian. any help would be great. If the information on Walter or his son Earl is of interest I would enjoy sharing it as well.
