Susannah,
Thank you for the response. I will find the book and get the data. This puts my Christian ancestry knowledge farther back than I ever expected.

Your family is completely covered in "Christian of Charles City" by Eunie V. Christian Stacy, 1982. See if you can get a copy through inter library loan. Her linage is Eliza M., William, Elijah, Charles, Charles, Thomas. She was born 1808 in Georgia, married 3 Jan 1828 in Hall Co. GA to William C. Brazeel(sic) ( born 1805 Ga) (1830 Census, Upson Co., Ga., p. 97: 1840 census Troup Co., Ga p. 322 and 1850 Census, Chattooga do. Ga. p 384) Children: born Ga Elizabeth 1829, William S. 1830, John 1832, Lavina 1836, Martha 1838, Louisa 1840, Asbury 1842, Charles 1844, Amelia 1847, and Antionette 1849.
If this sounds familiar than you can get the rest back to Thomas through Stacy's book.
Good Luck

I have posted this request before but there may be someone who has not seen it.
Eliza M. Christian: b 1807 in prob GA; m William Charles Braziel in GA. They had a large family whose names I have. She is my ancestor. I can find no links to her and her parents. I need her parent's data. I am researching every ancestor who lived during the American Revolution and was in America at that time. My success rate is really high but the Christian line is one that I have not got back quite far enough.

I am not sure what you are asking but I will see if I can explain the
gateway, as I think that is basically what the question is about.
There are two ways to send messages to this list. The first one is you send
messages to the email address christian(a)rootsweb.com which is what everyone
who sees this email does. These messages go to everyone on the list, so many
of the messages may have nothing to do with your immediate family, but I
have seen many people find cousins and other new friends from all those
emails they get, not to mention they find a lot of neat information.
The second way is they post messages on the "gateway" which is an
Ancestry.com message board, for other Christian researches, that the message
you are referring to came from. These messages are sent in their entirety to
the list so that you don't miss out on those messages. you don't need to go
to the link unless you want to check out prior messages in the string of
messages that you are interested in or you want to reply to the person who
sent the message.
People who use the second method either don't know about the list or for
some reason choose not to use it. It is actually up to me if I want to use
the gateway to have the messages delivered but the way I look at it is there
are not that many and someone might miss out on something important if we
don't have them forwarded.
I hope this helps but if not feel free to ask more.
