Joel Marion and Mariella Elizabeth Christian were the siblings of my John T. Christian. There was also Micajah, Martha Jane, Andrew Jackson and Lewis Anderson. John T. moved from Carroll Co. Ga. to Lamar Co. Al. Micajah married Mary Ann Mobley and in 1900 I found Mary Ann living with her brother in Bastrop Co. Tx. and she is widow. In 1920 she has Noah Christian who I assume is her son and widowed living with her and his sons are Carter, John B. and Noah, Jr. Martha Jane married William G. Landers and they moved to Garvin Co. OK. and they both died there. Andrew Jackson Christian married Minnie Popejoy and they too lived in Garvin Co. I have not found Lewis Anderson. These children were from William P(some say Payne and some say not)Christian and Sarah Johnson. They were married in Coweta Co. Ga. in December, 1852. Sarah had a son Allen Johnson born April 5, 1847 and we are assuming she was not married. My g-grandfather was John T. Christian and he married Nancy T. Young in !
Carroll Co. Ga. in 1874. Their son Jesse is my grandfather. He was born Oct. 13, 1851 and William and Sarah were nt married until Dec. 8, 1852.

This was Joel Marion Christian who married Nancy Elizabeth Mayes. Besides Tinnie May they also had a son Clinton and another son Dewey. Tinnie May married William Julian Rutherford November 10, 1907 in Calhoun Co. Al. They had one daughter Ruth that I know of. Tinnie May later married Casper Walter. Joel Marion was the son of William P. Christian and Sarah Johnson. They were married in Coweta Co. Ga. and later Sarah is found living in Carroll Co. Ga. with her parents Joel and Mary Johnson. Their son John T. Christian is my g-grandfather who married Nancy Young and moved to Lamar Co. Al. I would love to share information with anyone researching this line.

Hi all,
I wasn't sure exactly where in Georgia Elbert County
was, but I did remember hearing that it was in
Georgia.
My line comes from Gilbert Christian and Margaret
Richardson (Ireland/Scotland?) to Agusta County, VA.
From them, my line went to Knox Co., and then Overton
Co., TN through William Christian who married Margaret
Anderson. Their son, George, married Elizabeth
McCormick. Their son,
George W. Christian married Celina Fisk
George Worth Christian married Louisa C. Turner.
(George and Louisa went to Jackson Co., IL c1890.)
Luther Barlow Christian married Eliza Layne (Luther
and "Lizzy" moved to Newton Co., AR c1910) They are my
Gr-grandparents.
I missed some between Gilbert and William, trying to
get to the point.
Sincerely, Joyce

Hi,
I am sorry that I find no one who moved that far away from NYS in my

it to you. Charlene
