I am looking for information on Frank Christian born about July 1883 in Atchison, KS to Thomas Christian and Jennie Hawley. He worked as a patrol officer in Denver and was married and widowed. His 2 small sons were living with his mother in Atchison on the 1910 census but I cannot find them in 1920 after his mother died. One son was also Frank and the name of the other looks like John but is very difficult to read. Does anyone know more about him?

Whether or not something is allowed on the list does not prevent all of it from getting on the list. Unfortunatly anyone can subscrible to the list and post something before they can be removed.
What we need the list to do in these cases is to not overwhelm the with complaints. If you have a problem you need to email me directly (or the list admin for the appropiate list) if you don't the email address of the list admin then I believe you email
CHRISTIAN-L-admin(a)rootsweb.com (changing christian for the list you are trying to contact). If this doesn't work the address is on the rootsweb list page or you can email the list requesting the list admin to contact you.
This type of email tends lead to others complaining and taking up way to much room on the servers, and come up often as misleading posts due to the subject.
Thanks for your help,
Liesa

Message Board Post:
There is a part of this country, the United States of America that you do not know. This part of the country is filled with pain and anguish, yet hidden to most members of society.
I didn’t realize there was such a thing, a limitation to our freedoms, until I myself fell into the depths of this trap. The trap is in family courts throughout the United States.
To fall in this trap is lonely, and tragic, it would not be so hard if it wasn’t for the fact that good and loving parents are losing their children to child abusers only due to the fact that they want to protect their children.
Imagine this:
Imagine your beautiful daughter or son, rocking frantically - transferring themselves into an inner world only to escape the abuse they are receiving from the other parent, Imagine being helpless and unable to protect them. Imagine that you attempt to protect them only to be labeled as a liar and you become tens of thousands of dollars in dept to pay not just the children’s lawyer, but also your lawyer, the evaluator and whomever else shall come along, only to be told that you are the bad parent for coming forth with accusations that you are merely repeating from your child. Imagine the loneliness your child and yourself would go through, and the loss of hope that this would bring.
Please I beg of you, I have tried in many ways to figure out how to fix this problem in our country, a country born with the need of freedom. If this letter has brought you concern, please write the news and tell them you are interested in hearing more about this topic. This is not just a statewide issue this is countrywide!
Please send a copy of this letter to anyone you know, weather it be online or in the mail, spread the word so that our children and our future can be rescued.
Sincerely Naomi

Cynthia,
I have William Maynard Christian's social security application dated 5-13-1941. He lists his birthdate as June 30, 1883, born in Centrallia, Illinois. Parents: John Van Buren Christian and Amanda Skillern, both dead in 1941. At that time, he was living at the Wabash Hotel, El Paso, Texas, "working for myself". Now it makes more sense that he might have died in California. Please contact me.

hi Bill
Anything is better than housework! However, even the vaguest connection can pay off in unexpected ways. yesterday when looking through records for someone else I came across the burial record for one of ours. His address at the time of death was the same as his widow's a month later in the 1901 census. Although I thought it was her, until i had that info there was no way that i could prove it. Looking for a Jones can be rather difficult in liverpool.
As to your query, it could be her, but i am still waiting on the copy of the family bible entries from a correspondent in the US, who has been having PC problems. According to that Ann was born 2 June 1758 & married 28Jan 1782 at St Margarets in London. Need to see if there is anyone in London who will look that up for me.
Bye
Alison

Hi Alison, judging by your postings you are a very busy girl.
A quick query. Is the Ann Irving married to Christopher Christian the same Ann christened in Ulverston 28/12/1758
Reference CHRISTIAN, PARKER, BOUGHTON.
Looking for Stephen W. CHRISTIAN (b. NY) in Michigan
Branch County, 1840 through 1865.
Need to know his parents, the given and surname of
Stephens first wife, mother of his daughter, Caroline
(9) was born in MI, and son Charles (14) was born in
NY, and daughter Charlotte E. (or Elizabeth C.). Some
referenced names are shown in caps below.
In 1850, he was in Noble Twp, living with his wife,
Eliza (Elizabeth?) and three children of her previous
marriage, with the last name of BOUGHTON: Mary, 11,
born in New York; Henry, 9, born in New York;
Clarissa, 6, born in IL. He married her (she of Burr
Oak in adjacent St. Joseph County), on August 8, 1850.
Stephen W. CHRISTIAN was in land transactions during
the 1840s with a David CHRISTIAN, relationship
unknown, and with C.C. Farrand, Samuel Narmon, David
Miller. This David later moved to Illinois, but no
Stephen was found there.
Can find no further records of Stephen W. CHRISTIAN.
Not in the 1860 census, but in 1863 some of his land
was sold at a Sheriffs sale.
In 1860, his second wife was in Burr Oak Twp, St.
Joseph County with her daughter Mary, 20. No Stephen
to be found.
Caroline's sister (quite likely) Elizabeth C.
CHRISTIAN m. George H. PARKER December 29, 1863. This
could be the same person as Charlotte E. CHRISTIAN age
7 (b. 1843 in MI) in 1850 census, thus Caroline's
sister. "George H. PARKER, 35 of Fawn River, St.
Joseph Co. MI m. Elizabeth C. CHRISTIAN, 20, (b. 1843)
of Noble Twp on Dec. 29 1863 at Noble Twp by Adam
Plass (J.P.) witnessed by Catherine S. CHRISTIAN
(should this have been Caroline S.?) and Sophia H.
Calhoon."
In 1870, Branch Co. Bronson Twp second wife, Eliza
CHRISTIAN 53 b. NY is living with Samuel Hayes 32 and
Mary E. Hayes, 31, both b. NY. This Mary would be the
same age as the Mary BOUGHTON, shown in the 1850
census.
MI 1870, St. Joseph Co., Sturgis PO, Head of
household, Elizabeth PARKER, 26, keeping house, $3500,
$500, b. MI; also Caroline CHRISTIAN 28, talloness,
and George PARKER, 5, b. Indiana
If anyone can help me find Stephens first wife, his
and/or her parents, please let me know. He has hidden
from me for months. Id really appreciate any help.
