I have a Virginia Christian, born in KY, but 10 years earlier, and in Scott County, KY. Is this just a coincidence? Glad to share what I have.

I have located my biological grandmother's family. Hattie Louise Christian, indeed, was my biological grandmother and now my mother has met two wonderful sisters and one great brother. It has turned out really nice even though Louise passed away quite some time ago. Thank you for your reply

Dear Sharon Headrick,
In 1996 you wrote a letter expressing the belief that Louise CHRISTIAN was born Jun. 12, 1916 in Wayne, KS. You seem to have modified that opinion to Hattie Louise CHRISTIAN, born Sept. 27, 1916 in White Cloud, KS. I have no problem with that. I wish to report the little bit of research I did a few minutes ago on the online version of the Social Security Death Index (http://ssdi.genealogy.rootsweb.com). Using the Advanced Search, I input the first name Louise and the date of birth. Of the 16 hits, none had a visible connection to Kansas, but one had a connection to Colorado, which is where your mother was born.
Name LOUISE PAINE
Birth 12 Jun 1916
Death Aug 1981
Last Residence 19087 (Wayne, Delaware, PA)
Last Benefit 19087 (Wayne, Delaware, PA)
SSN 524-12-2793
Issued Colorado
Tools SS-5 Letter [Gives names of parents]
If this person is of interest to you, further research that I would recommend would be to apply for a death certificate from the local registrar in the county seat or from the State office of vital statistics in the appropriate state.
The death certificate should list the place of burial. Then the cemetery can be contacted to inquire who paid for the purchase or maintenance of the burial plot. The funeral home could be contacted for last known address of the next of kin. The local newspaper can be searched for a death notice.

I am the person who sent you all those descendants 6 or 7 or maybe 8 or 9 years ago on the children of old Lewis. I did not know that you were going to put all that on the internet. I do not put anything on the internet I have been researching the Christian Family for over 12 years and although I am willing to share I certainly will not send anyone everything I have as I did you. James, I see you seem to have a lot of info here, if you could help me I would appreciate it. I am looking for a Fanny Christian m. James Ramsey ca. 1830 my gggrandfather. I need for both parents, siblings, children etc. My info leads me to beleive they were in Franklin Co. Ga. at that time. I have also noticed several names that are familiar or coincidental, James Ramsey Christian? Drury (James Ramsey had a brother named Drury Madison Ramsey). It seems James Ramsey was married several times but I have only found one child, James Asbury Ramsey my ggrandfather. Anything familiar to you? You can email me at dennis(a)act-iv.net
