Several anecdotal stories of orphans named Christian. Has been a rumor of
my gr grandfather , Marion Christian (1847-1931) in Missouri. However ,

could only find their names! Any help? Thanks. Clara

I am looking for further information on this man. I believe he was born in
Hanover Co, Virginia, married in Amelia, Va to Polly (Mary) Hatton abt 1788;
died in 1837 in Fayette Co. Kentucky and was the father of 12 children. I
only know one daughter's name which was Elizabeth (Betsy) who was born in
1795 in Virginia, married Peter Frazier in 1812 in Prince Edward Co.,
Virginia and died abt 1840 in Illinois. In a statement by Polly (Mary)
Christian, she stated she had 12 children but could not remember their ages.
She said her children were spread throughout the Midwest in such states as
Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri. (This would be mid 1800's).
Betsy's father and two of her uncles fought in the Revolutionary War and the
three of them moved to Fayette County, Kentucky after the war and received a
pension for their services. I would love to know Betsy's siblings names! Any
help would be greatly appreciated! Linda J Fleming momkkbj(a)aol.com
