Hello everyone!
I am researching, well trying to, the Christian side of my family. I
don't know where they came from and have very little information at this
time to share. What I do know is that my grandmother was Lillian or Lilly
Mae Christian ( she went by the name of Mae) She was born Sept.8, maybe
around 1894 in possibly Tazwell TN or Tazewell WV. Her father was William
Christian but I don't know any more about him..yet :o) I do know that their
were siblings but I don't know how many. I do know there was George,
Frank,Joseph ( who was murdered in KY I believe in the 30's, possibly
Mar.7,1932. He was a Taxi driver and was brutialy killed and robbed), and
I at least one other daughter, Minnie. There is also a half brother from a
second marriage. My grandmother, Mae, married John Arthur Heaton Jr. but I
don't know when or where. If any of this information rings a bell please
lets exchange information asnd I really look forward to being part of this
list! Lisa Hiland
I am looking for my great grand mother, Emma Marie Christian, born in VA
about 1870 who married Charles Henry (Henn) Hahn. They m. about 1890.
They had 2 daughters, Maggie Teresa Hahn, and Dolly Hahn.
Can anyone help me with finding her?

appointed by Gov. Henry of Virginia as Major in the army of Col. Christian
against the Cherokees. In 1777 he was appointed Colonel of a Sundry garrison

I believe this is the Col. William Christian who m. Patrick Henry's sister
and who's only son died at a young age so he left no male heirs. I believe
the Henry's and Christian's were from NC before going to TN.
