Hello CHRISTIAN Cousins:
I just found a maternal side CHRI(Y)STIAN and am very interested in
learning more -- especilly JOHNSON info -- of this related
CHRI(Y)STIAN/JOHNSON connection in Perry Co., IL ...
Per Perry Co., IL Marriage License issued to:
JOHNSON, Ebbolyia and CHRISTIAN, Cornelius P. 31 Dec 1855 C/121
(Marriage Ceremony took place on 1 Jan 1856)
Note: There were many creative spelling adventures in Perry Co., IL
records for these folks including Epaliza/Ebbolyia/Ebolya/Ebiliza,
JOHNSON/JOHNSTON and CHRISTIAN/CHRYSTIAN. With the exception that JOHNSON
was the correct surname spelling, correct spelling of other names is
unclear at this time.
Other Info ...

19 Ruth Johnston 62 F Kentucky
-----
Note: Ruth Johnston (sp error)noted as "cannot read or write." Also, there
is a printed transcribed 1860 Perry Co., IL Census that shows "Eliza"
rather than "Ebiliza", however, the microfilm copy of original census is
very clear the spelling -- right or wrong -- in the census is "Ebiliza" not
"Eliza".
It is also noteworthy that two entries down was the following who is the
possible, mother and siblings of Cornelius P. Chrystian:

Note: I haven't yet had the chance to check the 1850 Perry Co., IL Census

My JOHNSON ancestors were Perry Co., Il pioneers in the Tamaroa area from
the early 1830's! Ruth JOHNSON was my 3gGM and James JOHNSON was my 2gGF.
I'd appreciate any JOHNSON or CHRI(Y)STIAN info anyone might have on this
family.
With kind regards, Steve swatts(a)scvnet.com
Hi,
I am at a loss. for 17 years now, I can't locate any parents for my father.
Here is what I have.
I never met any of my Dad's relatives, when I asked why I didn't have any, he
said they were dead, so I never asked again.
My Dad married my mom in 1941 and stayed with her until his death in 1971. We
buried him.
My Dad:
William "Bill" FISHER b Feb 1, 1902
My birth certificate says he was born Minneapolis, Minnesota
My sisters birth certificate says he was born Minneapolis on Feb 1, 1901
My mom's marriage License says he was born in in Wisconsin (no town given)
His Social Secrity records state he was born in Toledo, Ohio on Feb 1, 1901,
and his parents were Fred Fisher and Leathy Warren
Then when he went to draw his social security this is what he put on the
forms:
Parents were Charles Fred Fisher and Leathy Warren Heberling and he was born
10 and one half miles NW of Minneapolis on a farm and that the nearest
settlement was Fisher , Minnesota
He was too young for the first world war and too old for the second world war
He told me he was a merchant marine
He told me that he had two older sisters one named Myrtle Fisher and one that
i was named after, a Marian Louise Fisher
He told me that his mother died when he was real young and tha his father died
when he was 10 years old, of an injury.
On the Toledo, Ohio 1900 census, I did find a Fred FISHCHER and a Leathy, Born
in Illinois, I traced her, and she died in 1910 and her parents were named:
George W. OWEN b Indiana and Mary Christian b Ohio
The only other FACT, I have is my Dad didn't have an accent, yet he spoke 7
languages fluently and yet he worked as a carpenter and a laborer.
Any help would be appreciated
Marian
