Geraldine F."Gerri" Christenson, 86, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003. She is survived by her sons, Brian E. Christenson and wife, Margaret of Albuquerque and Jon R. Christenson and wife, Ann of Belen; grandchildren, Erik Christenson and wife, Jessica of Minneapolis, MN, Amy Christenson, Betsy Christenson, both of Belen, James Melton and wife, Chelan of Springfield, TN and Carol Lowe and husband, David of Los Lunas; great-grandchildren, Elijah Christenson, David Melton, Christopher Melton, Maranda Melton, Troy Lowe and Zachary Lowe; sister, Vivian Madsen of Geneva, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Christenson was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Harold E. Christenson; and son, Norton Payne Christenson. She was associated with the Girls Scouts of America for over 80 years. Mrs. Christenson also was a member of the Christian Women's Club of Albuquerque. She was a longtime member of Immanuel Presbyterian !
Church. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Monday, 3:00 p.m., at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle NE, with Rev. Joyce Lieberman and Rev. Chris Lieberman officiating. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranch, 6209 Hendrix NE, 87110 or to the Girl Scouts of Chaparral Council, 4000 Jefferson Plaza NE, 87109.
