I don't know if this helps at all, but my great-great grandfather was Soren Peter Christenson. He was born in Denmark (not sure where) in 1842. He died in 1932. He married Hansine Rasmussen who was born in 1851 and died in 1934. They had three children, one of whom is my great grandfather James Peter Christenson. Does this help? If so, can you reciprocate?

Looking for Oliver Christenson who is 26 yrs old in the 1870 CA census. He married Sophia ________. Probably in SF before 1870 as he has no children. HIs first child, a daughter is born in 1871. Census records say he is b Norway but others say Denmark. perhaps born one place but of Danish heritage.
Oliver may have come with his family as in one record it says he came in 1847 ( he would have been only 10)
He is also listed as a Ship's captain. Any information on this family would be appreciated...thank you...jane in CA
