I have come across an old "This Week" clipping entitled "Farm Feast". It is about Riley & Gladys Green who met in 1946 and married in 1948 - at time of article they are ages 23 & 19 and are in partnership with his father farming 3 farms totaling 500 acres. Her mother, Hilda Christenson(sen)is living with them. The article continues with 2 Danish recipes (ebleskivers & kringle).
I am not researching this family - just thought there might be a descendant out there that would like to have the clipping - reply to this message if this is your family

I'm not related, but saw your post and thought I'd see if I could help a bit. Based on the info from Steve Mortensen's 2002 post and what I found searching from that info - I have a possibility for you:
There was a Mathilde Mortensen, age 27, who registered to emigrate to Dundee, Illinois on August 12 1903. The record gives her last residence as Naskov parish, Maribo Amt. Looking at the parish records there I found a Mathilde Caroline Mortensen born Mar 2 1876. Her parents were Michael Mortensen and Trine Hansen.
(BTW she apparently spent about a year -Jan 1902 to Apr 1903- living in Copenhagen)
I also found a marriage record in Ft Dodge Iowa, dated 27 Nov 1904, for a Hans Christenson and Tille Mortensen:
"Iowa, County Marriages, 1838-1934,
name: Hans Christenson
event: Marriage
event date: 27 Nov 1904
event place: Fort Dodge, Webster, Iowa, United States
age: 30
estimated birth year: 1874
father: Jorgan Christenson
father's titles & terms:
mother: Trine Oleson
mother's titles & terms:
spouse: Tille Mortenson
spouse's titles & terms:
spouse's age: 29
spouse's estimated birth year: 1875
spouse's father: Michal Mortenson
spouse's father's titles & terms:
spouse's mother: Trine Rasmussen
spouse's mother's titles & terms:
reference number: pg189 #223
film number: 1401728
digital folder number: 004312674
image number: 347
I realize that this gives her mother's maiden name as Rasmussen, but it's possible that that has to do with the Danish patronymic naming system - Trine Hansen's father's name was Hans Peder Rasmussen.
In any case I thought it was worth passing along.
Hope it helps,
J Murphy
