Hello, on your post:
"looking for descendants of CHRISTIAN CHRISTENSEN AND BIRTHE KATRINE POULSDATTER. CHRISTIAN WAS BORN ABT. 1753 DENMARK DIED NOV. 26 1838 DENMARK. they had 6 children look's like all born in rind parish, denmark some went by name christensen and then duedahl/dudal looking for a iver christensen duedahl b. july, 3, 1854 hoptrup, denmark. mother johanne hellewadt. my grandfather HANS CHRISTIAN DUEDAHL/DUDAL b. jan. 2, 1851odis, denmark. mother inger marie hansdatter moller.please someone help. would love to know if we still have family in denmark."
My grandfather is Iver Christensen Duedall born in Hoptrup same date you mentioned. In 1979 I travelled to Aabenraa (may have been a different name..but pronounced phonetically "Abenrow"), Denmark, where I found the church book where his name is entered...The name in the church book is "Iver Christensen Dudal". Later I found his mother's death certificate Johanne Hellewadt...she is part of the Iversen (or Iverson) clan, hence the origin of the name "Iver" I believe.
Does this help you?
I have a photograph of "Iver Christensen Dudal"; he immigrated to the USA in ~ 1870s-1880s (date unknown)....lived in Minnesota and then moved to Albany, Oregon, in ~ 1890s, married my grandmother Dora Vaughan in late 1890s....had several children including my father (now all his children are deceased).
Was my grandfather one of the 6 children you mentioned....? Did any of the other children immigrate to the USA and where? Iver Duedall

I am looking for info. about my grandmother, Caroline Christensen/Peterson/Nelson. She was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany in 1859. She came to U.S. on Aug 17, 1881, when she was 22 yrs. old and went to Detroit Lakes (Lake Eunice)(I don't know why. Her first husband, Nils Peterson died thereabout 1884. She then married John J. Nelson (B:Sweden 1846) in about 1887. My father, Roy Nelson was born there in 1888. John Nelson died in about 1903, a few years after they had moved to Libertyville, Enderlin, Ransome County, ND. I don't know why they left MN and moved to SD, but I feel there must have been some relative of his or of Caroline's, so thet is why I am contacting you. Your Caroline and mine are not the same person, but there may be some relationship. After John Nelson died (he was working as a shoemaker in Enderlin) Caroline and her five children all moved to Seattle as the 1910 Census shows.
I sent for her death Certificate and it shows her mother's first name as, Anna. That's about all I know. If we match in any way, please let me know!
I am Gail McAssey, San Jose, CA
