Then let me tell you what I found and you can decide if it's the right family or not:
WWI draft record for Nels Jensen Christensen born 28 June 1875, living in Big Lake, MN, nearest relative is wife Jennie Christensen.
The US Census showing Nels immigrating in 1894.
The Danish Emigration database has a record for a Niels Jensen Christensen, age 18, registering on Mar 16 1894 to travel to Monticello Minn. He listed his last residence as Ostbirk, Skanderborg.
I checked the parish registers for Ostbirk and found a Niels Jensen Kristensen born July 28 1875 to parents Andreas Jorgen Kristensen and Sidsel Marie Andersen.
If you think this is a match, let me know and I can forward copies of the records I found to you.
J Murphy

I think that some of my mother's family did live in Council Bluffs. But, whsn we went on a trip along time ago, we went to Madison County. Winterset. That is where the majority of her family lived. But, some moved. A bunch moved to California and started some kind of business and did very well. They moved thier parents, my great grandmother and grandfather fo California. Some of the children were Cecil,Sophia, Rosemary, Pearl (my grandmother) Violet. I can't remember all of them their was a bunch. They are on my family tree I believe.

Thank you for helping me with this. While I have been upset by the loss of Todd family history, this has been the greatest mystery of all! Looking forward to any info you have!
