Thank you so very much for this info. Victor was my father and Axel was my grandfather. Didn't know any of my grandparents. Trying to fine out about Charles as he seems to elude me. Hadn't thought to check the WW1 records. Don't think I would know where to begin there. There were 4 children Victor, Charles Hannah and Lulu. Found the 2 girls but would like to close the book with any info on Charles and or his family. All I had on him was an address in Indiana. My mother had an address and his wife's name, Grace. NH was never in the picture so that's probably why I came to the dead end. Thanks again. So nice of you.
Marian

You might try looking at the WWI draft records. I found a record for Charles Christensen in Rockingham NH with a birthdate of Oct 9 1890. I went and looked for their records in Kobenhavn to check birthdates and found Charles Louis Christian Christensen born Oct 9 1890 to Bernhard Axel Christensen and Jenny Josephine Ambeck. Bapt in Skt Johannes Kirke. Also found a birth record for Victor Axel Bernhard Christensen born 6 Mar 1889. On that record the father is listed as Axel Bernhard Christensen. If you don't already have and are interested in the birth records let me know.

My great grandfather was Christen Petersen Friis and was also born in Haderslev in the mid nineteenth century (my info is at home). His father was Gregers Friis. The female names Dorothea and Marie are common in the family.
Chris P. Friis emigrated with his brother Jacob and sister Sophie. C.P. lived most of his life in Nebraska where he died in the early 20th century.
If you think that he could connect with your Martin Jensen Christensen, I'll share more information.

I found that information also. Can't believe that there is a dead end to that Charles Christensen. Know that he sent letters from the address in Marion Indiana and there isn't a record of his being there. Don't know where else to look.
Thanks for the try.
