COLUMBIA BASIN HERALD, MOSES LAKE. WASHINGTON.
In loving memory of Darlene Emma Christensen, 77, of Bothell, Wash., who died at Evergreen hospice center Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, after a long and brave battle with cancer.
Darlene was born Dec. 29, 1931, in Sisseton, S.D., to Elda and Joseph Schmaus. She was a graduate of Sisseton High School, and married Willis Christensen on May 28, 1950. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1990 after 25 years of civil service employment.
Darlene was a devoted wife and a warm, sweet and loving mother and grandmother. She cherished family above all else and will always be remembered as the strongest link in our family's lives. No words can express how deeply she will be missed.

I am looking for Paul Andrew Christensen, he was born around 1966 in Battle Creek, Michigan. He is the son of Albert Christensen and he is my cousin. Haven't seen him since 1975. Albert died July 13, 1976.
Also, I am looking for his half-sister, her name is Margaret. I do not know her last name. Her mothers maiden name was Dennesteadt. The only other information I have on Margaret is her grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. William Dennesteadt of Fremont, Michigan. And Niels and Dagmar Christensen. I do have pictures of both of them that were taken when they were younger.
Any information or any contact from or about either would be greatly appreciated.
Anna Christensen

I am pretty sure that this is my James Sorinius Christensen. Thank you very much for looking for him.
Can you tell me where I can go to find this Danish emigration lists, so that I can see if other family members are on it? I have not heard of this.
James was born in Aalborg in Denmark in 1871 so the date would be about right too.
Anyway, Thank you so much. I really appreciate your help.
Charlotte Christensen

Might be a long shot but I need help with how these people relate to each other. The census did not provide a "relationship to head of house" field.
Niels H Narum 59
Maren Narum 60
Hanah Narum 28
Hans Narum 18
Caroline Narum 16
Edward Christensen 10
Ingebret Narum 58
Gustaf Narum 13
Oline Christensen 19
I have Niels and Maren in my family tree, Maren's maiden name is Christensen. But the Christensens listed here are too young to be her siblings and stretching it even to say they might be a newphew and niece. The other Narum's are also far too young to be Maren's children - the only possible one being Hanah (Maren would have been 32 when she was born, still stretching it a little for those times). Hans is too young to be Maren's son but too old to be Hanah's. Only obvious one is that Ingebert looks like Niels' brother.
If that's not confusing enough, living next door is Niels and Maren's daughter and her family, the Larson's. Which is all well and good, it's obvious that the other Larson's are their children. But again, there are 3 Christensen's living with them and I don't know how they relate to anyone else (aside from obviously being on Maren's side of the family):
John Larson 38
Ann Larson 32
Mary Larson 8
Juliana Larson 6
James Larson 1
Mathis Christensen 21
Bryngel Christensen 13
Maren Christensen 15
I've put the children in my family tree but I'm at a loss as to where/how to put the others in.

Hi,
I have found the danish emigration record for
JAMES SORINIUS CHRISTENSEN.
This is not a danish name but an americanized name.
His danish name was probably Jens Sørinus Christensen.
He emigrated on 20 march 1894 from Ajstrup parish in Aalborg county at the age of 22 on the ship Amerika heading for Clinton in Iowa.
This ship departed from Christiania 22 march 1894 and arrived in NY 6 april 1894.
Capt. Thomsen, reported several heavy storms
This might be the ship, but I have not searched for any passenger list.
Let me know if you think this is the right person you are looking for ?
Regards,
P Brun
