I recently purchased a bunch of older photos. One photo shows three people with a horse. On the reverse is written "115th California State Fair Horse Show, June 15, 1968; rider Beth Reeves; owner Marjorie L. Reeves, Santa Barbara California; sponsor The Welsh Pony Association of California; presenting Mrs. Walter Christensen, wife of the former mayor of Sacramento". [Mr. Christensen was the mayor from 1966-67.]
Attached is a copy of the photo. If this is one of your ancestors, please contact me.

Robert Carl (Karl) Christensen was born in 1946 or 1947. His parents were living in Leadville, Lake, Colorado in November of 1947 when my grandmother, Ida Johnson, received a letter from his parents (Don and Mary Christensen) asking her if she and her husband (Arthur) would let Robert come and live with them . . . that is the only information that I have on Robert, but had tried various ways to find him or some record of him. Robert's Dad, Donald Christensen) was born in Laramie and his grandparents were Carl and Alma Johnson Christensen. Presently I have asked a person who researches newspapers in Leadville to see if a birth record is in that paper. I understand the court house in Leadville burned down so there is now way to get a record there. In Colorado you have to prove your relationship to someone to get a birth certificate, and at present all I have is that letter (which is simply signed Mary and no return address) and a picture of Robert to prove my
relationship. I would give anything if I could find Robert . . . anyone have any ideas or clues that I am missing or know of a Robert Christensen . . . I have wondered if he died or if he was adopted out. You can contact me at dicksiem(a)yahoo.com. Thanks so much for reading this E-mail and if you can help I will very much appreciate it.

I forgot to add somethings on the post I just sent. Some of our part of the Iverson family ended up in Kendal, North Dakota. Also, 2 siblings for our Marentine Catherine were Iver Andreas Iverson (born 11/10/1830 Vor Frue, Aalborg) and Ane Georgine Iverson (christened 6/16/1833 Budolfi, Aalborg.

On our family tree, I have a Marentine Catherine Iverson christened 6/16/1839 in Budolfi, Aalborh, Aalborh, Denmark. She is the daughter of Thomas Iversen (born around 1799 in Fuuer Denmark) and Else Marie Gjodesen Iverson (born 1808 in Aalborg, Denmark) They were married in 1830. I do not have records of their death dates. They had 5 children that I know of. Marentine Catherine was the 4th child. The youngest of that line was Hans Christian Iverson. Our family descended from Hans. If any of my information matches with your information, please let me know. I am trying to update our tree this summer. Those in Hans' line immigrated to North Iowa. I live in Clear Lake, which in on I35, just about 35 minutes south of the Minnesota border. Hans would be my husband's great grandfather.
