Lloyd & All,
I think your family tree can be verified in the Census of 1880. I found your CHARLES CHRISTLE at the age of 8 yrs (born 1872) in the household of his father, ABRAHAM CHRISTLE age 40 born c.1840 at Rockland, Sullivan County, New York. Note the 15 year old son named JORDEN CHRISTLE? I found another JORDON CHRISTLE in 1880 census at Greenfield, Ulster County:
pg 16 SD4 ED160 lines 15-20
Christle, John age 24 yrs white male farmer born NY father born ENGLAND mother NY
Christle, Elizabeth age 18 wife NY NY NY
Christle, Catherine age 2 daughter NY NY NY
Christle, JORDON age 72 Farmer born Ireland father Ireland mother Ireland
Christle, Catherine age 62 born NY NY NY
*Interesting that people listed Ireland birthplace as "England" as John Christle did on his fathers birthplace*
I believe you will find your Abraham & this John Christle to be brothers and both children of Jordon & Catherine Christle. I would search the obits and the death records of Jordon Christle to verify.

Hello Bobby,
Read your message from the board. I'm a CHRISTAL descendant lived in
Debruce, Sullivan County, Rockland Twp. N.Y. Mid 1850's. Sullivan County
split from Ulster County early 1800. I have not been able to go back with my
research from 1850. Only what we got from family records. My Grandfather was
Charles and his father was Abraham Christle any help would be appreciated.
Lloyd

Rootsweb about your surname. I've just found a Christall from Stockton-on
Tees who was my gggg grandmother. She's slightly outside your original
dates--she would have been born in the late 18th century and had 3 children
between 1806 and 1810--she was married to a John Duncan, originally from
Arbroath,Scotland. Have you come across her before? The only other
Christall I have found so far was a William C who was buried in Stockton in
1811 ,age 72.

Phil and all,
We have had a wonderful group of researchers finding evidence of Christall's all over England. I do hope you had a chance to look at the CHRISTALL list with it's many spellings of CHRISTAL CHRISTALL CHRYSTAL ect.
